The Vocational Evaluation (VE) Department is a part of WWRC’s Career and Workforce Development Division. The purpose of Vocational Evaluation is to help students learn more about themselves and the world of work so they can make more informed decisions about their future. A Vocational Evaluation is a series of work-related activities (both hands-on and paper-pencil) designed to provide insight into a student's skills, abilities, interests, and behaviors. Information is gathered and summarized to determine worker characteristics, potential employment goals, and the accommodations and services needed to achieve them. A vocational evaluation at WWRC can take up to four days to complete. A report is sent to the student and our referring partners at DARS to initiate the next step in the vocational planning process.

Vocational Evaluation Service Options
Feasibility Interviews
Program Length: One-half a day
Location: WWRC, Vocational Evaluation Department.
This interview determines a client’s current level of readiness to participate in and benefit from a structured vocational rehabilitation service program. This service could be an effective starting point when the sponsor is uncertain of a client’s vocational readiness.
Career Assessment Evaluations
Program Length: Three to four consecutive days.
